PhD (2012) in “Multilingual Communication: Translation, Linguistics and Comparative Literature” from the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. His doctoral thesis focussed on the analysis of Robert Frost’s mimesis of orality and on its translation in Catalan and Italian.

He has worked as an adjunct lecturer at the Pompeu Fabra University (2012-2013), at the Ruhr University Bochum (2013-2015) and at Universität Leipzig, Germany. He is currently lecturing at the Department of Spanish Language and Literature of Universität Bern.

He is developing a post-doctoral research project (German Habilitation) that aims at  analysing the discursive practices through which discourses about national or group identities in national mainstream newspapers may cross the geopolitical borders and are received by other cultures; the project investigates how this transfer takes place, what discursive images of national or group identities these practices contribute to spreading and what power structures they consolidate or subvert.
